Services were held Wednesday (yesterday) in the Kramer Lutheran Church for Mrs. Marie D. Wendelin, 63, who died August 9.

She was born on November 24, 1900 in Lancaster County.

She is survived by her husband, Mike of rural Crete; daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Gladys) Schlichtemeier of Hallam, Mrs. Arthur (Marfay) Clark of Hastings, and Mrs. Donald (Darlene) Acord of Crete; sons, Roland of Martell, and Darold of Garden Grove, California; brothers, Dick Asseln of Lemars, Iowa; Gus Asseln of Hallam, and Bill Asseln of Lincoln; sisters, Sophia Wells of Neligh, Minnie Burhman of Lincoln, Mrs. Henry Reiss of Crete, Mrs. Lena Schultz of Bremerton, Washington, Mrs. Henry Omen of LeMars, Iowa, Mrs. Elvin Schneider of Cortland, Mrs. Reed Carsten of Hallam, and Mrs. Katherine Gerlach of Crete; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The Rev. P.M. Kauffeld officiated with interment in the Lincoln Memorial Park.
