When Andrew Heisch was born on November 11, 1839, in Baden, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, his father, Henry, was 43 and his mother, Catherine, was 43. He married Carolina "Carrie" Friedman on October 21, 1861, in Ste Genevieve County, Missouri. They had 11 children in 23 years. He died on June 19, 1928, in Granger, Texas, at the age of 88, and was buried there in the Granger City Cemetery.
