ASHEVILLE – Ray Tweed,84, of 778 Emma Road, Asheville, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 25 2007.
Ray was born on December 6, 1922 in Madison County and had resided most of his life in Buncombe County. He was a member of Cross Rock Baptist Church. Mr. Tweed was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Paralee Payne Tweed; sister-in-law, Dorothy Tweed; and a brother, Rombo Tweed.
Surviving is his brother, Frank Tweed of Asheville; nieces, Ann Redden of Asheville and Peggy Roberts of Mars Hill; and nephews, Theron Tweed of Florida and J. C. Tweed of Candler.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Home with the Reverend Charles Cagle officiating. Burial will follow in the Kirk-Payne Cemetery in Marshall.
