Mr. Klunk was born Nov. 5, 1917, at Beaumont, N.D., a son of Christian and Catherine Klunk. He came to Sheboygan with his family at the age of five and attended Ebenezer Lutheran and Jefferson grade schools and Sheboygan Vocational School.
On June 4, 1938, he married Rachel Elsesser of Sheboygan at Ebenezer Lutheran Church parsonage. Mr. Klunk was employed at Kohler Co. for 88 years, retiring in January 1980.
He was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church and Kohler Quarter Century Club.
Survivors are his wife; one son, Roger E. of Sheboygan; three grandchildren; three brothers, Ed of Sheboygan Falls, John and Charles, both of Sheboygan; and four sisters, Mrs. James Meier of Sheboygan, Mrs. Henry Haenemann of Racine, Mrs. Leonard Reinert of Bald Knob, Ark., and Sister Assumpta of St. Catherine Hospital, Kenosha.
He was preceded in death by several sisters and brothers.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ebenezer Lutheran Church. The Rev. Clarence Stangohr, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Garden. Friends may call at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels after 5 p.m. today and until 11 a.m. Friday, then at the church from noon until time of services. A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Klunk's name for Ebenezer Lutheran Church.
