He was the son of Paul and Kathleen (Corcoran) Dahlinghaus. On Aug 31, 1976, he married Bonnie L Bruns, who survives in St. Rose.
Also surviving are three children: Erin (Bradley Cooper) Dahlinghaus, Bellbrook, Cole (Ashley) Dahlinghaus, Maria Stein, and Ian (Lauren Eierman) Dahlinghaus, Milwaukee, WI; siblings and in-laws, Cherie (Greg) Richards, Columbus, Rory (Beth) Dahlinghaus, Vandalia, Sean (Sofia) Dahlinghaus, Tipp City, Mary Dahlinghaus, Portland, IN, Jerry (Sandy) Bruns and Marlene (Ron) Tuente, both Maria Stein, Shirley Hopple, Chicago, IL, and Ron Bruns and Teressa Kerns and Pam (Jim) Fleck, all Maria Stein; and seven grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother and three sisters, all linked below; and a brother-in-law, Jim (Carolyn) Bruns.
A lifelong farmer, enjoyed being a caretaker of his family's bicentennial farm. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, and the Men's Sodality. He worked with his brother Dan doing crop dusting and he was a skilled equipment jockey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Rose Catholic Church.
