Morris Pujoe (born April 11, 1924 in Palmetto , Louisiana, died July 27, 1982 in Detroit , Michigan). Morris Pujoe was an American blues guitarist and bandleader. He was the mentor of blues pianists Henry Gray and Otis Spann.

Born in Louisiana, Pujoe first played the violin. In the late 1940s, he moved to Beaumont, Texas where he began to play the guitar. He often performed with pianist Henry Gray, with whom he went to Chicago in the early 1950s .

In 1952 Pujoe made first recordings, including accompaniment by Gray. One of his most successful titles is "Let's Get High". In 1989, a compilation of Pujoe's pieces appeared under the name "Wrapped in My Baby".

In the 1960s, Pujoe was often accompanied by his wife, the blues singer Mary Lane. Her daughter, Lynne Lane, and her son, Morris Pujoe Jr., also sing the blues.
