Jo was born August, 3, 1942 in Dallas, TX to Pete and Louise (Hazel) Bridwell. She worked for the City of Odessa for 25 years before retiring from the billing and collections department. Jo was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved sewing and attending arts and craft shows. Jo was of Baptist Faith.
Jo is survived by her husband, Harlan Ray Elkins of Bowie; children, Carla Elkins Puckett and husband Larry of Odessa; Stacy Elkins Gibson and husband Mark of Bowie; Jackie Rae Elkins and Steven Paz of Lubbock; grandchildren, Talitha Marie Bullock; Amanda Rae Hixon; Mica Rayne Aaron; Krista Lynn Elkins; Lakin Ray Aaron; Adison Reese Aaron; eleven great grandchildren; brother, Bobby Lee Bridwell of Gun Barrel City,TX; numerous nieces and nephews; and her little dog, Gizmo.
