Claudia "Mallie" R. Allen, 75, of New Bloomfield, died Monday, June 2, 2003 at the Churchill Terrace of Fulton.
She was born May 15, 1928, in Powersville, MO, the daughter of the late C.C. "Pete" and Eunice Evelyn (Rowan) Reiter. She married Russell W. Allen on May 22, 1952 in Fulton. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1981. Claudia was employed in food management for over 50 years, including the State Capitol and Oakview Living Center in Jefferson City. She was an active member of the Providence Baptist Church in New Bloomfield. She was also a member of the Gold Leaf Club and Mid-MO Friends of the Winston Churchhill Memorial & Library. She loved to sew, work in the garden, and spend time with her family.
She is survived by one daughter: Debbie (Mrs. Burford) LaRue of Fulton; two grandchildren: Jacob Russell LaRue and Amanda Ellen LaRue, both of Fulton; one twin-brother: Claud A. Reiter of New Bloomfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 5, 2003, at the Debo Funeral Home, Holts Summit, MO. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 6, 2003 at the Debo Funeral Home in Holts Summit, with the Rev. Bill Wormsley and Dr. T.W. Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Dry Fork Cemetery in Guthrie. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
