Mary Joanne Brue age 89 of Eagan, Minnesota died Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at her home.
A double funeral service for Mary and her husband Sanford will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 14th at Emmaus Free Lutheran Church in Bloomington, MN.
Interment for family only will follow in the Dawn Valley Memorial Park in Bloomington, MN.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 14th one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mary Joanne Heggen was born July 21, 1932, to Everett and Clara Heggen at their home in Brandon, SD. Following her high school graduation, Mary attended Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis, MN.
On October 24, 1953, she married Sanford Jay Brue of Viborg, South Dakota. Together, they lived a life of dedication to the Lord and commitment to one another.
Mary spent her life as a homemaker. She loved children and passed this love of children along to many of her own children and grandchildren. She spent many years volunteering as a children's leader at Bible Study Fellowship.
Grateful to have shared in her life are her sister Mila Ode and brother Leo Heggen, one daughter and five sons. Deb (Tom) Hiltner, Doug (Sue) Brue, Joel (Phyllis) Brue, Evan (Rhoda) Brue and Tim Brue. Mary had 18 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Sanford, her parents, her youngest son Vince and sisters Lillian Dalrymple, Iva Amdahl & Gloria Corbett.
Memorials can be made to the "Emmaus Church Memorial Fund" and in the memo, note "in Memory of Sanford & Mary Brue".
