Daniel R. Lapolla, 79, of Cumberland, died April 21, 2020, at home.
He was the husband of Jane (Mandeville) Lapolla for 45 years.
He was born in Providence in 1940, the son of the late Daniel A. and Viola (Bernadoni) Lapolla.
Dan retired as a boiler operator at Brown University.
He had many jobs before that, but most notably as a mechanic and a barber. Fixing cars and giving haircuts were trades he took pride in and a significant part of his life, even at 79.
Dan was an avid golfer his entire life and was fortunate enough to spend the majority of his retirement since 2010 playing up to 27 holes a day. He finished his amateur career with six holes-in-one and a lot of his golfing buddies' money.
He is survived by two sons, a daughter, two daughters-in-law, three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Elaine Costantino.
