Timothy C. Wilson passed away from cancer on April 29, 2022, surrounded by family. He was 75 years old. Tim was born August 1, 1946, to Leo and Arline Wilson in Portland. He had one sister, Terry (Wilson) Beecher. He grew up in Portland and attended Marshall High School, where he graduated in 1964. After graduation, he joined the Marines and completed three tours in Vietnam, leaving the Marines for civilian life in 1969. Tim married Karen (Forgey) Wilson in 1970, a former classmate from high school. They moved to Sandy in 1978 from Portland to live a more rural and quiet life. He was a mail carrier with the USPS in Gresham. He and Karen had 3 daughters, Penny, Joycelyn and Marie. Tim always joked about not having sons and what it was like sharing the bathroom with four women. Tim and Karen had a very happy marriage until her death from cancer in October 2001. Tim became very involved in the Sandy VFW and spent his time socializing with friends, reading, and playing golf. He will always be remembered for how much of himself he was willing to give, what a great friend he was and his capacity for love. He could always be depended on. Though Tim was no stranger to tough times, his sense for humor and kindness were what will be remembered. He always said, "Everyone is my friend until they give me a reason not to be." In 2005, Tim reconnected with Loretta, a long-time friend, and they married on August 26, 2006. Loretta had 2 sons and Tim teased his daughters that he was finally able to give them brothers. Tim and Loretta had a wonderful 16-year marriage. Tim always told Loretta how much he adored her and how she touched his life in unexpected ways. He was happy to be by her side, especially since she was able to handle his teasing and strong personality.
Tim is survived by his wife Loretta, his daughters Penny Wilson and Dave Pierik, Joycelyn & Adam Helfrich, Marie Wilson and Phil Hinds, Loretta's daughter Becky & Randy Ping, and her sons, Brandon & Stacie Eberle, and Jeremy & Bonnie Eberle. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Hannah Schoolcraft, Bella Wilson, Piper Helfrich, Hailey Eberle, Liam Ping, and Ruby Eberle.
