HEINEN--Mrs. Tony Heinen dies in hospital; funeral Tuesday
HUMPHREY -- Mrs. Tony (Josephine) Heinen, 76, lifetime resident of the community, died Sunday morning at Our Lady of Lourdes hospital, Norfolk, after a long illness.
Funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Catholic church with burial in the parish cemetery. Rosary will be at 3 and 7:30 p.m. today at Duesman mortuary where the body lies in state.
Daughter of the late Clement and Victoria Weiser Wemhoff, she was born April 8, 1890 in the St. Mary community and attended parochial school there. She was married to Tony Heinen Sept. 1, 1914 at St. Mary Catholic church.
Mrs. Heinen was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis, Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters of America.
Her husband and an infant daughter, Mary Ann, preceded her in death.
She is survived by six sons, five daughters, 50 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a number of sisters and brothers.
Children are: Ted and Aeldred of Humphrey; Edgar, Mrs. Beata Van Dyke and Mrs. JoAnn Van Dyke of Wheaton, Minn.; Norbert of Long Beach, Calif.; John of Aurora, Ill.; Arthur of Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Rita Seume of Omaha, Mrs. Bernadette Reinhart of Lincoln; Mrs. Clara Schwartz, Grangeville, Ida.
Pallbearers will be six nephews, Stanley Foltz, Clem Rist, Elmer Zach, Paul Brockhaus, Dick and Jim Wemhoff.
