Mrs. Eleanor McComb Thornton, 82, who came to this district in 1937 from Boise, died in the Silverton Nursing Home Sunday.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.,. Wednesday from St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Wallace following a rosary service at 7 p.m. today at the Wallace Chapel of Shoshone Funeral Services. Rev. Father Martin Hughes will direct both rites. Burial will be in the Nine Mile Cemetery north of Wallace.

Mrs. Thornton was born in Colorado [this is incorrect] and had been active in Catholic Church circles since coming to this area.

Survivors include sons James Raymond, Manchester, Mo.; and Jack Thornton, Spokane; daughters, Mrs. Donna Mullen, Wallace; Mrs. Mary Hammer, Aberdeen, Wash., and Mrs. Juanita Thornton, Burns, Ore.; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
