Alex Ziemer, 68, of 950 State Street, Gladwin, died early this (Wednesday) morning at the Gladwin Hospital following an illness of three week's. A retired farmer and resident of Gladwin county since 1913, Mr. Ziemer was born on December 10, 1889, in Poland. On August 2, 1913, he was married to the former Miss Augusta Selich of Cleveland, Ohio.

Surviving are his wife, Augusta; three sons, Henry and Harold of Gladwin and Ronald of Midland; six daughters, Mrs. Anna Schieman and Mrs. Margaret Strohkirch of Gladwin, Mrs. Edna Zillman and Mrs. Lydia Mcintosh of Midland, Mrs. Alma Schuster of Detroit, and Miss Emma Ziemer of Lapeer; two brothers, Henry of Gladwin and Edward of Traverse City; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Brokoff of Gladwin, Mrs. Hulda Stoike of Beaverton and Mrs. Wanda Fritz of Cleveland, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. William H. Hassold will officiate and burial will be in Ridge cemetery.
