He married Martina Haas on Oct. 3, 1944, in Antonino.
He was a graduate of Schoenchen High School. He was a farmer and a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, Antonino, and Knights of Columbus, Schoenchen.
Survivors include his wife, Hays; three sons, Larry and Tom, both of Hays, and Frank J., Blue Springs, Mo.; four daughters: Paulette Reichert and Norma Pipkin, both of Hays, Alvera Reichert, West Lafayette, Ind., and Barbara Jean Robinson, Green Bay, Wis.; a sister, Barbara Reichert, Salina; nine grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ellen Reichert, a grandchild, two brothers, Robert Werth and Joe Steinboch, and five sisters, Josephine Dreher, Sister Esther Marie Werth, Emma Munsch, Mary Copeland and Dorothy Kozlowski.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, Antonino, with Fathers Julian Haas, Frank X. Grinko, and Earl Befort officiating; burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4:30 p.m. and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine. There will be a parish vigil service at 7 p.m. Friday followed by a Schoenchen Knights of Columbus rosary.
Memorials are suggested to Thomas More Prep-Marian High School, St. John's of Hays Nursing Home or for Masses.
