Songwriter. Born Lâm Đình Phùng in Rạch Giá. When he was 10 years old, his mother sent him to live at his uncle's house to study. He began his music career at a young age, and following the success of "Chiều Thu Ấy," he went on to write more than 200 songs. He wrote hits such as "Chuyến Đò Vỹ Tuyến," "Kiếp Nghèo," "Thành Phố Buồn," "Tình Bơ Vơ," "Phút Cuối," and "Biển Tình." In addition to his music career, he was involved in his first wife's theater. Following the reunification of Vietnam, he and his family fled to the United States where they settled in Virginia before moving to California. After the end of his first marriage, he moved to France where he resumed his music career. After fifteen years of living in France, he returned to the United States. Due to health issues, he retired from writing songs. In 2016, he was honored at a concert hosted by Thúy Nga in Singapore.
