Aug. Rehling died at his home in Pender at an early hour Wednesday morning at the age of 73 years of heart trouble. Mr. Rehling was born in Germany and came to America with his family in 1880 and settled in Dodge county, Nebraska near Scribner. He afterwards moved to Oakland where he lived four years and from there he moved to Pender where he has since resided. Mr. Rehling leaves a wife and seven children four sons and three daughters to mourn his departure. His sons are Ludwig, Herman, and Fred of Pender, and Aug. who lives in California. The daughters are Sophia Ellinghausen of Uehling, Mrs. Minnie Munderloh of Lyons, and Mrs. Gazena Heineman of Pender.
The funeral will be held this afternoon and the body interred in the German cemetery west of town.
In the death of Mr. Rehling this community loses one of its best and most respected citizens. He was an honorable man of excellent judgment, of high character and esteemed by all. The Times joins the many friends of the deceased in extending sympathy to the family.

The funeral of the late August Rehling was held at St. Peter's church last Friday and was largely attended. Rev. Nitzseke, pastor, officiated.
