Darrel Barnes, formerly of Ravenna, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Green Acres Retirement Living in Cadillac. He was born August 17, 1928 in Manton, to Percival Eugene Barnes and Emma Velma Longstreet Barnes.

Darrel graduated from Manton High School in 1947. He served four years in the US Naval Reserves. He was employed at Howmet Corp in Whitehall for over 30 years. Darrl was a member of the Ravenna United Methodist Church. He enjoyed a good game of golf, wood working and taking care of his lawn.

On June 28, 1952 he married Mary L. Parson. She passed on March 24, 1984. To this union was born a son who survives him and two daughter's, Nancy Seberry and Vickie Drum who preceded him in death. He is also survived by five grandchildren, several great grand children.

After many years of being single, he married Gertrude Panzl Barnes in 1990 and she preceded him in death on June 5, 2018. He is survived by Gert's six children and spouses, 12 step grandchildren and their spouses and many step great grandchildren.

One of the 10 children born to the family, Darrel was preceded in death by brothers, Harold, Lawrence, Percy, Roy, Ray, and sisters Norma, Irma, Jean and Bertha.

Memorial services were held at Augustana Lutheran Church in Tustin.
