Gerda was born January 12, 1929, in Fichthorst, Germany, the daughter of Emil and Margrit (Thiel) Moeller.
She worked at Amana Refrigeration and Schanz Furniture.
Gerda was a member of First Lutheran Church.
She loved to travel, knit, and cane chairs. She helped cane the largest rocking chair in the world which is in Amana, Iowa.
Gerda was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Margrit Moeller; daughter, Inga Strait; siblings, Hinze (Hilda) Moeller, Bruno Moeller, Gerhart (Gerda) Moeller, and Helmut (Irmtraud) Moeller.
