Harold C. Grogg Sr., 71, of Gladwin, died suddenly Friday, Nov. 17, 1995 at Saginaw General Hospital. Born May 8, 1924 in Belpre, Ohio, he resided in Gladwin since 1964. Mr. Grogg was employed in automobile sales and was currently with Manning Ford. He served in the U.S. Navy for 23 years until retiring July 30, 1964. Mr. Grogg was a member of the Kingdom Hall. Jehovah Witness, Gladwin congregation. He married the former Phyllis Heinz Oct. 29, 1946 in Gladwin.

Besides his wife, he is survived by 4 sons, Harold Jr. and wife Shirley of Grover Beach, Calif., James and wife Deborah of Gladwin; Daniel and wife Joy of Grover Beach, Calif., and David and wife Narrisa of Gladwin; one daughter, Elizabeth Grogg of Mobile, Ala.; 2 sisters, Virginia Kupris of Akron, Ohio and Claudia Welter of Iowa; 15 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Herbert and James Jr.

Rites were held at 1 p.m. Monday from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin chapel with Daniel Sykes officiating. Burial was in the Ridge Cemetery, Gladwin.
