Mary Vincent Granger, 84, of Lake Charles passed away at 1:41 AM on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 in a local care facility.

Mrs. Granger was born on September 18, 1938 in Crowley and was raised in Morse, LA. She and her husband moved to Lake Charles in 1958. She most recently attended Moss Bluff Bible Church and she was also a member of Christ the King Catholic Church where she was involved in making the church cookbooks.

She took great pleasure in being outside gardening and she also enjoyed cooking, especially for the holidays.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Troy Granger of Moss Bluff and Kayla Neese (Markis) of Carlyss; sisters, Wona Breaux and Verna Hargrave; granddaughter, Amanda Kay Higginbotham; and five great grandchildren, Nathan, Camille, Caitlyn, Faith, and Tyler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eulice and Edna Vincent; daughter, Karon Granger; and eleven siblings.

A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel. Pastor Jeremy Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will begin at 10:0 AM and continue until the start of the service.
