Burnett
A funeral service for Clara E. Burnett was held Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rockdale with Rev. Gregory Hanks of St. Joseph's officiating. Burial followed in Little River Cemetery near Cameron.
Mrs. Burnett died Saturday, March 1, in Renaissance Villa in Rockdale.
A Rockdale resident for the past eight years, she was born Oct. 11, 1921, in Falls County to William Rummel and Elizabeth (Neikamp) Rummel.
She married Roy Burnett, Feb. 20, 1973, in Oklahoma.
Mrs. Burnett was an antique dealer in Rosebud for 20 years.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rockdale.
Mrs. Burnett was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Burnett on July 28, 1986; six sisters, Mathilda Stall, Rosie Swatloski, Lena De Moss, Elenora Pattilo, Bertha Zost; and three brothers, Anton Rummel, John Rummel and Henry Rummel.
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Danny Rummel, Bill Rummel, John Swatloski, Michael Merka, Tommy Merka and Jimmy Burgess.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Little River Cemetery Association, 462 CR 267, Cameron, TX 76520.
