Mrs. Ethel S. Peiffer, wife of Harvey Peiffer, 356 N. First St., died at her residence Saturday, after a long illness. She was 71. Mrs. Peiffer was born in Cornwall, a daughter of the late Hugh and Harriet Binner Smith. She worshipped in the Lutheran faith. She is survived by her husband; three sisters, Miss Letitia Smith, Lebanon; and Misses Gertrude and Mary Smith, both of Philadelphia; one son J. Randall Peiffer, of Herhsye; two granddaughters, and nieces and nephews. [Lebanon Daily News, Monday October 28, 1968]
