It all depends which documents you are viewing but most often she is referred to as TALITHA. But in all of her funeral documents she is referred to as TABITHA. It is spelled differently on legal documents. Marriage doc to Lovett it is spelled Tabitha but her death index spelling is Talitha as well as her obit.

Talitha was one of five known children born to George M. and Elizabeth Nancy Lewis Bondurant. She and her siblings were all born in Missouri. Her father died at a relatively young age and in a matter of months her sister Eliza was born. Sometime after the death of her sister, Mary Bondurant Major in Missouri in 1860, her mother brought the family to California as there were relatives living here at the time.

On May 19, 1869, Talitha married Joseph Langford Lovett. They had one son, George Oscar Lovett in 1872 and her husband died in 1873. I have been unable to confirm how her husband died at such a young age.

March 22, 1875 Talitha married Louis Moritmer Nagel. They had a daughter by the name Pearl Adelia Nagel on March 28, 1880. Pearl died in Sonoma on January 31, 1952. I have been unable to find any information about her death or burial.

Thank you to Willows Cemetery (Al) for the kind help in locating Talitha.
