Walter M Richter, 72, of 1 Chestnut street, a retired machinist died Saturday in Sunnyside Hospital.
Born in Germany, Mr. Richter came to this country 55 year ago. He had lived on the Island for 42 years. Before retiring six years ago, he was employed by the Caddell Dry Dock and Repair Co. West Brighton.
Surviving are a son Herbert of Milford, Del. four daughters, Mrs. Vivian Scragg, South Beach; Mrs. Gloria Hamwl of Los Angeles; Mrs. Dolores Green of the home address and Mrs. Gwendolyn Bundy of Honolulu.
The Rev. Dr. Frederic Sutter, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church will conduct a service at 2 pm tomorrow. Burial will be in Silver Mount Cemetery.
