A 17-year-old Turk who was on life support at a hospital in Copenhagen after he was the victim of a racist attack on Wednesday was declared dead on Thursday by doctors. The Danish police announced the cause of death as "severe brain damage."
Özgür Deniz Uzun was distributing newspapers in the Amager district of Copenhagen when he was first verbally harassed by three Danish teenagers. The attackers, who are said to be 15, 17 and 18, later attacked Uzun leaving him unconscious. The three were captured shortly after the attack.
