It is with heavy hearts that we lay to rest our beloved mother, Nathalie E. Salzsieder who died on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the age of 93. She was born April 16, 1930 to the late Robert M. and Catherine (Beyer) Tilkens.

On Aug. 21, 1948, she married Lester "Whitey" Salzsieder at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Humboldt, Wis.

In her early years Nathalie and her husband had many Happy Hoppers dance dates, plus outdoor ice skating or roller skating, playing cards, movies, theatrical plays, as well as senior bus trips (they especially enjoyed casino trips). In their early retirement Nat and Whitey spent nearly 20 years of winters in Las Vegas and enjoyed car trips all over the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Whitey preceded her in death on February 20, 2012.

Nathalie was a dedicated and devoted wife and mother.

In her free time, Nathalie enjoyed helping others as a volunteer at the former Western Village (now Green Bay Health Services).

Survivors include her children, Sharon Salzsieder, Allan Salzsieder (girlfriend Angele Dolgner); grandchildren, Erin Salzsieder, Brittany Salzsieder (fiancé Chris West), Mallory (Luke) Burie, Sean (Lauren) Larson; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Nolan, Lyla, Madeline, Olivia, Jack, Violet, Colton, Haley, Brody, and Cash; brother, Elroy (Geraldine) Tilkens; sister-in-law, Agatha Hudson; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Whitey; her parents; brothers, Clayton Tilkens, Marvin (Mary) Tilkens; sisters, Maxine Prevost, Dolores (Ardeal) Davister, Laverene (Joseph) Swille; brothers-in-law, Clarence, Ornie, Alfred, and Edgar Salzsieder, Elmer (Rita) Salzsieder, Leroy (Verna) Salzsieder, Art (Gloria) Kuchenbecker; sisters-in-law, Elda Bauman, Cora Mueller, Rita Salzsieder.

Friends may call at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1420 Division St., from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, July 14. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Philip Dinh-Van Thiep officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
