"OUR LOVED MOTHER"

Living in Pahokee in 1920.

I received this information:
1910: Laura is incorrectly shown as Leona in the household of John W. and Emma Upthegrove (the last name is also spelled incorrectly) at Island Grove, Alachua County, Florida. Note the presence of the Kittler family living with the Upthegroves. I researched them and Emma appears to be the daughter of Joseph/James & Wealthy Kittler in 1880. Emma's tombstone indicates her maiden name was Peavy, but check out Emma Peavy on familysearch.org. It was her last name at the time of her death; in 1940, she appears in the census as widow, Emma Peavy. She and John Upthegrove separated about 1920 and both remarried. They are buried next to each other at Port Mayaca Cemetery.

Have requested her last name changed.
