Jefferson City Post-Tribune (MO) – Tuesday, September 3, 1991:

Genrose Cecilia Knollmeyer, 78, Bonnots Mill, died Saturday at Winchester. She was born Jan. 1, 1913, in Linn, a daughter of William H. and Mary Elizabeth Mertens Nilges. She was married in Linn to Joseph B. Knollmeyer, who died Jan. 5, 1969.

She and her husband were the owners and operators of Knollmeyer Motors, Linn. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Bonnots Mill.

Survivors include: one daughter, Donna J. Zeilmann, Winchester; one brother, Clem Nilges, Kirkwood; two sisters, Alma Selk, Hamburg, Iowa, and Jerene Dwyer, Chicago, Ill; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Louis Catholic Church. The Rev. Peter Walsh will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery under the direction of Dulle Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Knollmeyer family home in Bonnots Mill. Memorials are suggested to Lions Eye Bank.
