Caroline (Mrs. August) Kleve, 91, of 10530 Hubbard Lake Road, died Wednesday (Nov. 14).
The former Caroline Kuer was born Oct. 31, 1888, in Germany and moved to the United States as a child. She married August Kleve in 1909 in Avon, Ohio. They moved to the Hubbard Lake area in 1919. He preceded her in death in April 1950.
Mrs. Kleve was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Herron and its ladies aide.
Surviving are five sons, Otto of Spruce, Karl and Walter of Hubbard Lake, Albert of Lansing and Arthur of Mount Clemens' two daughters, Elizabeth Maintzer of Mount Clemens and Pearl Sauer of Hubbard Lake; 21 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and a brother, Fred Kauer of Glennie. A son and daughter preceded her in death.
Mrs. Kleve's body is at Bannan Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. Saturday her body will be taken to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Herron, for funeral at 2 p.m., the Rev. James Moehring officiating. Interment: Church Cemetery. Memorials: St. Paul Lutheran Church Divider Fund.
