Lena Gribi
Lena Gribi, 80, of Cairn Highway; Kewadin, died Friday evening after an extended illness.
She was born Lena Kaiser, daughter of Emil and Anna (Aeschliman) Kaiser, at Kewadin on March 21, 1896.
On Nov 8, 1921 at Elk Rapids, she married Albert Gribi, who survives.
A needlework enthusiast, she enjoyed gardening and working for the Kewadin Methodist Church, of which she was a member. She was also a member of the
Ladies Aid She lived her life in the Kewadin area, and worked on her farm.
Surviving besides her husband, are two sons Richard of Kewadin and Kenneth of Lansing, a daughter, Mrs William (Betty) Nemec of Traverse City, a brother, August Kaiser of Kewadin nine grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 pm at the Dockery-Wilhelm-Smith Funeral Home in Elk Rapids The Revs Robert Doner and R J Lautner will officiate Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Elk Rapids.
Friends may call at the funeral home tonight irom 5-9 and Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
