PLUM CITY - Isabelle M. Hewitt, age 84, of Plum City, died on April 27, 2008, at the Chippewa Valley Hospital in Durand.
Isabelle was born on March 9, 1924, the daughter of Charles and Hulda (Nelson) Johnson. She was born and raised in Plum City, and attended and graduated from Plum City High School. After high school, she attended business school in La Crosse. Isabelle married Lyle Hewitt on Oct. 10, 1942, in Beloit. After marriage, they worked in Beloit and later returned to Plum City. Isabelle worked as a secretary for Plum City Schools and also at the Plum City Veterinary Clinic. She was very active at the Plum City United Methodist Church. Her husband Lyle passed away June 30, 2006.
Isabelle is survived by two sons, Charles (Theresa) of Ellsworth and Dennis (Marlene) of Maiden Rock; son-in-law, Jerome Bierbrauer of Plum City; five grandsons, Charles Jr. (Roxanne) of Ellsworth, Chad (Jessica) and Kyle (Angie) both of Hudson, Kurt Hewitt of River Falls and Eric Bierbrauer (fiancee, Danielle Schulte) of Ellsworth; six granddaughters, Michelle (Shane) Platt and Heather (Todd) Kirby, both of Dallas, Texas, Jennifer (Aaron) Block of Muskego, Kari (Nate) Pachl of Hudson, Le Ann (Josh) Gross and Emily Bierbrauer, both of Rochester, Minn.; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lyle; and one dear daughter, Diane Bierbrauer.
Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the United Methodist Church in Plum City. Rev. John Hazen will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
