COLCHESTER — HALNON, Raymond James Sr. — A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, Feb. 17, 2003, at 11 a.m. in Holy Cross Catholic Church in Colchester with the Rev. Roger Charbonneau as Celebrant. Con-Celebrant was the Rev. Thomas Bransfield. Assisting with the Mass was Deacon Ivan Hauke and altar servers Leonel Sabourin, Norbert Vogl and Sr. Carmen Proulx, S.P. The readings were proclaimed by Raymond's brothers, Paul Halnon and George Halnon. The prayer of the faithful was by sister-in-law Velma Brigante. Presentation of the gifts were by Goddaughters BobbyKay Tymula, Kathy Rouleau and Kim LaMothe. The music was provided by Mary O'Kane. The communion song, Amazing Grace was played by granddaughter Angella Hamlin. Words of remembrance were by friend, Lucy Morrill; daughter-in-law, Sharon Halnon; son, Ray Halnon Jr.; and daughter, Debbie Hamlin. Interment followed in Holy Cross Cemetery with Fr. Charbonneau and Deacon Hauke offering committal prayers. Bearers were nephews, Steve Brigante, Jeff Brigante, Paul Brigante, David Thibodeau, Dean Thibodeau, Frank Halnon and Ray Bosley and friend Cory Barber. Ray's family appreciates the extraordinary amount of love and support shown by hundreds of people who knew and loved Ray and his family. Included were many of Ray and Cathy's friends from Costco and Vermont Public Radio, who honored their life together with their caring presence. Special thanks to Dick and Dolly Mazza for all of their work on the reception and program. We thank everyone with all our hearts. Arrangements were by the LaVigne Funeral Home, Winooski.
