Son of James Oakley Tippett & Gertrude Buckler Tippett, born 1926, St. Mary's County, Tippett


Husband of the late Margaret C. Tippett; loving father of Virginia Ann Gass, Cathy A. Tippett, Debbie L. Stott, Francis B. Tippett, Jr., John R., Joseph L. and Gary M. Tippett and the late James R. Tippett.


He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Ann Lumpkins; 16 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, many nieces and nephews.


Family and friends will be received on Friday, September 15, 2006 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Waldorf, MD from 5 to 8 p.m., with prayers at 7 p.m., where Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 10 a.m.Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suit- land, MD. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Little Sisters of the Poor.
