MRS. BACHMANN DIES IN CITY WEDNESDAY
Mrs. Phoebe Stephan Bachmann, 82, widow of Philip Bachmann, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs, Margaret B. Miller, 636 Fifth Street, on Wednesday at 11:40 p.m. following decline.
Mrs. Bachmann was born in Fearing Township on February 11, 1859. She was married to Philip Bachmann on June 29, 1881. He died in 1909. Survivors are her daughter, Mrs. Margaret B. Miller, the widow of Edward C. Miller, who cared for her mother in her declining years. Brothers and sisters are Louis Stephan, Mrs. Catherine Wenzel and Mrs. Elizabeth Guckert, all of Marietta. One sister, Mrs. Barbara Dauber, is deceased.
Mrs. Bachmann went from Marietta to Pittsburgh, Pa., in 1910 following the death of her husband, and she returned to Marietta in 1937. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be held at Doudna & McClure's on Friday at 4 p.m. Rev. W.L. Spielman will officiate. Interment will be made in Oak Grove.
