of 201 W Eighth St.. died Friday in
Oswego Hospital after a long illness
He was born and raised in Oswego
and was the son of the late Stephen and
Ella Peckham Knopp.
He retired from the Nestles in 1977.
Surviving are his wife. Dorothy
Dunsmoore Knopp, two sons, Richard
Jr of Columbus. Ga, and Walter Knopp
of Oswego; two daughters, Ruth Nettles
of Rochester and Edith Pelon of
Hinesville, Ga.; three sisters, Grace
Shannon,Eileen Familo, and Doris
Flack, all of Oswego, 10 grandchildren;
and several nieces and
nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in
the Familo-Scanlon-Sugar Funeral Home
and at 10:30 am in St Mary's Church.
Burial will be in Oswego Rural Cemetery.
Calling hours are 7-9pm Saturday and
2-4 and 7-9pm Sunday.
