Francis S. Knopp
Francis Stephen Knopp, husband of Lella Havis Slayton
Knopp, 42 of 81 E. Cayuga St.,died Friday evening in Oswego
Hospital after a lingering ill-ness.

Mr. Knopp was born in Oswe-go, Feb. 14, 1925, son of Ella
Peckham Knopp and the late Stephen Knopp. He attended lo-
cal schools and was a graduate of Oswego High school. He was
a veteran of World War II having served in the 224th Medical
Company in the 17th Airborne Division. He was employed by
the Oswego Fire Department for several years and served as
the department electrician. He was formerly employed at the
Fitzgibbons Boiler Co.

Mr. Knopp was a communicant of St. Peter's Catholic
church.

Surviving besides his wife and mother, are: two sons, Ste-
phen, Fulton and Allen Walter Knopp, Oswego; a step-
son, Donald and a step-daughter, Cynthia; two brothers, El-
liott Knopp, Rochester, and Richard Knopp, Oswego; four
sisters, Mrs Thomas (Florence)Callen, Mrs. Hugh (Grace)
Shannon; Mrs. Albert (Eileen)Familo and Mrs. Joseph (Doris)
Flack, all of Oswego; also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Familo funeral home
Monday at 9 a. m. and at 9:30 a.m, in St. Peter's Catholic
church. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 7-9 p.m.
and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9p.m.
