AGED RESIDENT TAKEN
Mrs. Katharine Mueller, an aged and respected resident of this city, where she had spent 68 years of her life, died Monday evening at 6:30 o'clock, at her home, 409 Montgomery street, of paralysis.
Mrs. Mueller was well known throughout the city. She was the widow of the late Frederick Mueller, to whom she was married September 3, 1857, the ceremony taking place in Marietta. She was a member of the German Lutheran church and was active in church work until failing health interfered.
She was a daughter of Baltzer and Elizabeth Stephan, and was born in Neaderbaxbach, Germany, June 24, 1833, being past 81 years of age. At the age of 13, with her mother, she came to this country, locating in Marietta.
Ten children survive, all but one of whom reside in this city. A daughter, Mrs. Katharine Freeman, lives in Buffalo, N.Y. Thirty-one grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at the home Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Burial will be made in Oak Grove cemetery.
