Services for Anna Newhouse will be held Saturday, April 10, at 3:00 in the Klawitter Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Orsted officiating. Burial will be in the Nelson Cemetery.

Anne, 72, was born on a farm between Ruskin and Byron. She and her husband, Cecil, moved to Mt. Clare, where he preceded her in death in 1938. She moved to Nelson and was Clerk of the District Court for around 13 years and was also in the insurance business with Porters. She moved to Portland, Oregon, in 1962.

Anne is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Maurine) Warneking of Portland, Oregon; a son, Levonn of Westminster, Colorado; two sisters, Leola Godsey of Beaverton, Oregon, and Clara Cruse of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; three brothers, Robert Koester of McMinnville, Oregon, Henry Koester of Guide Rock and Gerhard Koester of Superior; and seven grandchildren.

Anne K. Newhouse, 72, was born in Thayer County, six miles from Byron and six miles from Ruskin. Anne moved to Mt. Clare and then to Nelson in 1958. She was clerk of the district court for approximately 13 years, and also worked for an insurance agency with Porters in Nelson. Anne moved to Portland in 1962.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cecil, who died in 1938; one sister and three brothers.

Anne is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Maurice (Fred) Warneking of Portland, Oregon; a son, Levon Newhouse of Westminster, Colorado; two sisters, Leola Godsey of Beaverton, Oregon, and Clara Cruse of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; three brothers, Robert Koester of McMinnville, Oregon, Henry Koester of Guide Rock and Gerhard Koester of Superior.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 10, 1976, at 3 p.m. at the Klawitter Funeral Home Chapel of Nelson, with Rev. Michael Orsted officiating. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery.
