HELEN ECKHOFF, 78, of MIDDLETOWN, died Sunday, July 6, at her home. She was a former transportation coordinator for Pleasant Valley Adult Day Care, Holmdel.

She was predeceased by her husband, George L. Eckhoff; a brother, Michael Evanko; a sister, Anna Schlingloff; a great-grandson, Devon Eckhoff; and her parents, John and Anna Evanko. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher and Sharon Eckhoff of Port Charlotte, Fla., Richard and Andrea Eckhoff of Lincroft, Middletown, and Wayne and Theresa Eckhoff of Brick; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Sylvia Evanko of Colonia; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Evanko of Clark, and Evelyn Eckhoff of Toms River; a grandson and his wife, Kit and Lee Ann; a grandson and his fiance, Michael and Jessica; her grandchildren, Brian, Stephen, Leigh-Anne, Dana, and Jordan; two great-grandchildren, William and Trevor; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River. Letters of condolence may be e-mailed to [email protected].
