Mrs. A. Fischer Died Saturday
Buried in Savannah Sunday Afternoon—Been in Beaufort many years
Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Golinski Fischer, widow of Alexander Fischer, who died Saturday morning at 9 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry S. Hausmann, 522 Maupas Avenue after a short illness, took place Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the residence. Joseph Mendes, in the absence of Rev George Solomon, D. D., rabbi of the Mickve Isreal Synagogue, officiated. Burial was in Laurel Grove Cemetery. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Hausmann, Mrs. Antoniette Faucett of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Denea Ziff of Washington; a son, Barnard Fischer of Beaufort; and several grandchildren.
The pallbearers were Emanuel Straus, E. W. Tompkins, Meyer Schein, Ralph Cohen, J. D. Persee and D. W. Davis. Mrs. Fischer had lived in Beaufort for many years, but during the past few years her health failed. She had many friends here who regret to learn of her death. A number of pople from Beaufort attended the services.
