Mrs. Anna T. Gast, 81, 257 Erie street, died Monday at 1 p.m. at Porter Memorial hospital after a short illness. She was born in Moberly, Mo., Feb. 8, 1883.
She had resided in Valparaiso since 1909, when she married the late Michael Gast at St. Paul's Catholic church. Her husband preceded her in death in April 1956.
Mrs. Gast was a member of St. Paul's Catholic church, the Altar and Rosary society and a former member of the Oasis club.
Surviving are a son, Harold, Valparaiso; one niece, Mrs. Evan Suggs, Kansas City, Mo.; and two nephews, Charles Karle, Kansas City and Leo Karle of Chicago.
Preceding her in death besides her husband were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tobias Karle, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Dykes Funeral home; and a 9 a.m. requiem high mass will be said at St. Paul's church with Msgr. W. E. Sweigart officiating.
Interment will be in St. Paul cemetery.
The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. this evening. Friends may call at the Dykes Funeral home from 2 o'clock this afternoon until time of services Wednesday.
