Amos Elna Hoyt, died Thursday at his ranch near Tulelake.

He was born in Mitchell, Nebraska and came to California 52 years ago. He ranched for 14 years in the Alturas area before moving to Tulelake in 1950. He has ranched there for 25 years.

He was a member of the Tulelake Presbyterian Church and a 52 year member of the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his widow, Velma, Tulelake; son, Barney, Merrill; daughter, Roma Barton, Cascade Locks; brother, Arthur, Alturas; sisters, Dorothy fulton, Alturas and Doris Rueger, Reno, Nev.; also four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be George Fabianek, Ralph Morrill, Ed Osborne, John O'Keeffe, Bill McBride Jr. and Bill Whitaker. Honorary pallbearers willbe Ray Laird, Lloyd Leonard, Ed King, Ray Omment, Fred Fisher, Paul Tschirky, Harry Mitchell and Don D. McAuliffe.
