REXBURG - John Fred Bischoff, 87, of Rexburg, died March 26, 1993, at Idaho Falls following a lingering illness.
He was born February 25, 1906, at Sugar City, Colorado, to John Henry and Katherine Elizabeth Niewirth Bischoff. When he was a youth, the family moved to Idaho. He began farming in the Independence area near Rexburg when he was 17.
On July 1, 1933, he married Della Kerbs at Rexburg. He farmed until 1976, when he retired shortly before the Teton Dam Flood. His wife died in 1972.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his children, Kenneth Bischoff of Rexburg, Mrs. Cordell (Karen) Fullmer of Firth, and Mrs. Tim (Betty) Parkinson Jr. of Rexburg; a sister, Mollie Hansen of Rexburg; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sisters, three brothers, a grandson and a great-grandson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg with the Rev. Ken Schauer officiating. Burial will be in Sugar City Cemetery.
