Leah was the wife of Joel Harp and the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Swavely.

At the time of her death nine of her 11 children were still living: Harrison, Benjamin, Peter, James, Kate, Rebecca, Mary, Elizabeth, Sallie.

She was survived by 65 grandchildren, 95 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren.
