Lee Roy Doskocil, 71, of Clarkson died Nov. 20 in a Rockdale hospital. Funeral services were held Nov. 22 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Burlington with the Rev. Walter Dhanwar officiating. Burial followed in St. Michael's Cemetery in Burlington.

Doskocil was born March 31, 1935 near Burlington to Raymond V. and Annie Bartek Doskocil.

He lived in Falls and Milam Counties all his life.

He married Ann James on July 13, 1963.

He worked as a farmer and a conservation contractor and was the owner of the Schmidt Gin in Rosebud.

He was a baseball umpire in central Texas for many years and was a former board member for the Cameron Independent School District. Doskocil was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Burlington.

He was preceded in death by his father, R. V. Doskocil; brother, Marvin Doskocil; sister, Irene Doskocil and granddaughter, Kristen Doskocil.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Doskocil of Clarkson; sons, Dennis Doskocil, Chris Doskocil, and Mark Doskocil, all of Rosebud and Joshua Doskocil of Clarkson; daughters, Lee Ann Doskocil of Cameron, Wendy Doskocil of Austin, Nicole Tepe of Rosebud, Megan Doskocil of Buckholts and Bethany Doskocil of Clarkson; mother, Annie Doskocil of Zabcikville; brothers, Calvin Doskocil, Raymond Doskocil and Larry Doskocil, all of Westphalia; sisters, Mary Ann Jones of Belton, Janet Kasner of Temple; Delores Zipperlen of Rosebud and Josie Kleypas of Austin; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
