Elizabeth Gibney, a lifelong resident of the area who lived in New Windsor, formerly of Roseton, N.Y., died Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at home. She was 91.
The daughter of Bela and Mary Bologh Fekishazy, she was born October, 30, 1911 in Roseton, N.Y.
Elizabeth worked for the Marlboro School District in food services.
She was married to Thomas Gibney.
Survivors include one son, Thomas F. Gibney and his wife, Louise, of New Windsor; three sisters, Julia Pisani of the Town of Newburgh, Anna Chum of New Windsor, Helen Gekiks of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister-in-law, Jenny Fekishazy of Florida; three grandchildren, Thomas Gibney of Marlboro, Michael Gibney of Marlboro, and Victoria Labrenz and her husband, Edward of Newburgh; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by three brothers, Julius, Louis, and William Fekishazy.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, March 13 from 9 to 11 a.m.
The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation session.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh. Funeral arrangements were made by Engel Funeral Home, Inc., 5319 Rt. 9W North, Newburgh.
