LOSEKE – Emil G. Loseke, Route 3, Columbus, passed away Monday evening in the Columbus Community Hospital. He was 87.
There will be a prayer service held at 1:45 p.m. Thursday with church services at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. H.M. Rathkamp officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Loseke was born January 21, 1891 on a farm north of Columbus to Gerhard E. and Elise (Muller) Loseke and attended Platte County Schools. He married Anna M. Mueller on June 11, 1913, and has lived all his life north of Columbus where he was engaged in farming.
He was a member of District 10 school board; a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church Council.
He is survived by sons, Harvey and Gilbert of Columbus and Jerald of Sutton; daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Evelyn) Olson, Columbus, Mrs. Kenneth (Ethel) Madison, Grandbury, Tex., 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Gerhard of Columbus, Ernest, Alexandra, Minn.; sister Mrs. William Luckey, Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his wife; son, Mervin; two infant children; parents; two brothers, Ed and George; two sisters, Mrs. Adolph (Josephine) Frese, Mrs. Charles (Minnie) Wurdeman.
Memorials may be designated to the KTLX radio ministry of [sic] to the donor’s choice.
