Julia Lipinski was born in St. Joseph Township near Lancaster Feb. 5, 1921, the daughter of Carl and Stella (Zaleski) Lipinski.
She grew up in St. Joseph Township and graduated from Lancaster High School in 1939.
On May 1, 1940 she married Joe Boroski at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. The couple farmed near Lancaster until 1977 when they retired.
Julia also worked at the Lancaster school as a teacher's aid, cook and bus driver. She and Joe moved into town tow years ago. Julia was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Rosary Society and the Ladies Circle.
Family members include her husband, Joe; a daughter, Joanne (Gary) Easter, Shoreview; a son, Joe P. (Cindy) Boroski, Lancaster; four grandchildren, Stacy (Darin) Nelson, Tory (Camielle) Boroski, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Wageman and Jessica (friend, Tony Dahl) Easter; seven great grandchildren; and a sister, Caroline Boroski, Hallock.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, 11:00 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, rural Lancaster. Interment was in the church cemetery. Rev. Timothy Noah, presided.
Pallbearers were Rodney Potrament, Joe Olsonawski, Scott Olsonawski, Arlen Lyberg, Danny Lyberg and Laverne Isaacson.
