Conrad Hegwald, the father of Mrs Henry Reisbig of east of town, passed away at the home of his daughter, Saturday, October 14, at the age of 73 years, 7 months and 24 days.
Mr Hegwald was born in Russia, and came to this country when yet a young man, and has resided in Coffey county most of the time since then. He has been afflicted with Bright's disease for some time, and the last couple of months he has been living at the Reisbig home.
The funeral was held at the German church in this city, Tuesday, and burial was in German cemetery. Jacob Somerhalder was the officiating minister.
